Fiona’s recurrent dream turns to reality when she envisions the man who is their subject in her bedroom. Devoting herself to locating the site he’s shown to her, she and her
friends travel to Scotland. Accompanied by her two good friends Liza and Abby, Fiona follows the clue of a puzzle-the mystery of the man she has both dreamed and
envisioned-the mystery of his death in an ancient castle.

Meeting up with the current Clan Keith Laird, Ian, seems foreordained, and Fiona finds herself fascinated with the man. She knows almost immediately that he is the helper
promised to her by Andrew, the man in her dreams, but even visions couldn’t have prophesied what is to come for them.

Mystery piles upon mystery and puzzle upon puzzle as the supernatural, history, and modern-day reality collide. Romance, suspense, and paranormal meet in a convoluted
plot with many unexpected twists and turns that will enchant the reader.

Ms. Brodie has done a good job of writing the character of the pragmatic “if I don’t see it I won’t believe it” personality of Abby as a foil to Fiona’s willingness to follow her
own intuition and the dream messages from this mysterious personage. Liza is portrayed as a woman battling with the tugging of her subconscious. All three characters are
finely delineated, as are the male characters. Ms. Brodie definitely knows just how to ratchet up the suspense! This is a short story worth reading and rereading and adding
to the Keeper Shelf.
